Membership Covenant

As believers who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, professed our faith in him, and have been baptized by immersion, we most solemnly and joyfully enter into a covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

Therefore, by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, we strive to walk together in Christian love for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its sanctification and godliness to the glory of God; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; and to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We strive to watch over one another in brotherly love, pray for one another, help each other in sickness and distress, cultivate Christian sympathy in feelings and courtesy in speech, and be slow to take offense but always ready to secure reconciliation without delay.

Should we leave this church, we commit to finding another church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
